Bistrot 1965, awarded with a Bib Gourmand and MICHELIN Green Star, represents the essence of our origins, these popular origins. It is where we come from. A concept of traditional cuisine that is also evolving.

The name of this space is a nod to the date when the business took its first steps in the hands of the Jordà Giró family. In fact, it occupies the space of the former bar of the Hotel Empòrium, right next to the award-winning Restaurant Empòrium.

Here, twins Màrius and Joan Jordà i Giró, well supported in the living room by their mother Elena Giró, propose a menu based on the products of our surroundings, the Alt Empordà. It includes traditional preparations with modern touches. It is a cuisine committed to the idea of ​​sustainability that we can define as a traditional cuisine, with roots and with the tastes of the Empordà, which seeks balance between tradition and the knowledge acquired over the years.

Bistrot 1965 entrance times: 13:00 h to 14:30 h and 20:00 h to 21:30 h

Dining room service hours: 13:00 h to 16:00 h and 20:00 h to 23:00 h

Weekly rest:

· From October to May: closed all day on Mondays and on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

· June and second half of September: closed all day on Monday and Sunday night.

· July, August and first half of September: closed all day on Mondays.

(Except bridges and holidays).

Annual leave period: from 2 January to 23 January 2025; from 13 October to 3 November 2025.

* When making your reservation you will be required to have a valid bank card.

* We require punctuality and correct dress code. In case of delay, the full menu may not be served.
